Acceptable Use Policy
[Plain English: don't use Tankit to defame, dox, infringe, scrape, or break the law. We will boot you.]
Last updated · 2026-05-03
We wrote this as plainly as we could so it's actually readable. It's not legal advice — for that, talk to a lawyer in your jurisdiction.
What this covers
This policy applies to anything you submit to Tankit — and especially to your Classic pitch text and any other user-generated content. The Cram side is canon-only (you choose from our dossiers and our questions), but Classic is your words, and the rules below are how we keep that side of the house clean.
What's prohibited
- Defamation— false statements that damage another person's or company's reputation.
- Doxxing— exposing someone's private information without their consent. This includes submitting a third party's confidential business information (financials, customer data, internal numbers) without authorization.
- IP infringement— copying someone else's deck, pitch, or branded materials and submitting them as your own.
- Illegal content — including child sexual abuse material, content inciting violence, and hate speech that violates applicable law. Zero tolerance, no warnings.
- Automated scraping or attacks — botting our endpoints, abusing the API, attempting to compromise our infrastructure, or any form of denial-of-service.
- Bypassing paywalls or rate limits — multi-account farming, scripted free-tier abuse, or any other workaround for the Pro/Pack gating in the app.
- Impersonation — passing yourself off as another person, company, or as Tankit staff.
Reporting violations
If something on Tankit shouldn't be there — your business's confidential numbers showing up in a stranger's pitch, your copyrighted deck reproduced, anything else above — email support.tankit@gmail.com with what you saw and how to identify it. We move fast on these.
Enforcement
For clear violations we may suspend or terminate the offending account without prior notice. For illegal content we may also forward what we have to law enforcement and to the relevant rights holder, in line with applicable law.
We log every enforcement action with a timestamp and the rule it cites — that record is available to you if your account is the subject of the action.
Appeals
For clear violations there's no appeal by default — the rules above are the rules. If you think we've made a mistake, email support.tankit@gmail.com with the account email and your version. We'll review it.
